What causes halogram effect on my lenses when I’m done but it’s not every lens. Could it be sometimes I’m over sanding or is it the lens.

What did he do wrong that the 2k clear coat cracked?

I did dry sanding and I burned the lens. Any tips lol?

im restore headlights in the uk the amount times i have heared wd40 or toothpaste is unreal ... a real headlight restore does a good prep first strip it right back 👍

You’ve stated that the orange pads should not be washed as it will interfere with the end result. Would this apply to Rupes yellow pads as well for both headlights & paint…

Have you watched the Project Farm review of headlight restoration kits? He shows an up close of the Meguire's coating and how soft it is. Definitely doesn't seem like the best choice.

If buffing headlights is a scam why have you literally posted a video of you buffing a headlight? So I assume you're calling yourself a scanner.

They replaced the glass headlights with plastic ones for safety reasons and now everyone is polishing the 💩

Do you wipe the lens with a degreaser before you spray on the Meguiars or do you spray it on straight after polishing ?

Could greater results be achieved using Rupes LHR75E in comparison to a drill. . & how about their Ibrid nano for intricatate areas…

Some if not most headlights are cloudy from condensation accumulating and then drying on the INSIDE of the headlight...so any buffing, polishing the outside will not work.... Be it a leaking seal or other defect, it has to be replaced or taken apart and cleaned and then resealed....which I have done but it's a bitch..

Can you tell me why the headlights always feel a little rough after I spray them with the Maguire’s ? No matter how smooth they are before I apply the coating as soon as the coating Drys there is always this little bit of roughness after the drying phase . I thought maybe after it cured then I could put a coat of wax on them and that would solve the problem I am sure , I just don’t get with this happens to me .

I get that arcing a lot when I'm wearing my mask. For me, it's tiny water droplets coming out from the exhale flap in my mask. The water hits the surface and then gets thrown across the surface when the rotating sanding disc hits it.

How do you maintain this for the longest possible time ?

Restoring headlights is so fun. I need to get my one of those sandpaper drill attachment

You share a lot of great info, thanks! I have been painting cars for a few years. A quick tip for your mask, take 2 pieces of toilet paper and put them between the outside border and the pre filter. You can change those regularly and they will catch of a bunch of the overspray. Pink looks good on you, lol, I kid I kid.

can i use wet polish starting with 600 then 800 then 2000 or donyou have any good combinations that i can use im starting a business and for i will try in multiple headlight mine first until i get the needed experience. i bought a good drill and the tools from 400 grit to 2000 . do you think i need to just buy 800 and 3000 or higher according to you experience
